I attended Berry College and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. After completing the Bachelors degree, I enrolled in the school counseling program at UTC where I earned a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in School Counseling. I also earned a Doctor's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2009 from Argosy University.

I have been employed as an elementary school counselor since 2001. I worked for three years as an elementary school counselor in Walker County before coming to Tiger Creek in 2004. It is such a privilege for me to work in such a great school with wonderful teachers and staff.

I believe that all children are unique and special individuals who are capable of learning, growing, and developing in an environment where children are treasured and nurtured. My goal as a counselor is to be a positive, supportive, and nurturing adult role model and to provide children with opportunities to learn about themselves so they will be able to identify their own strengths and limitations and tap into their inner resources of strength and hope. I want to serve and be an advocate for children and strive to establish a safe environment in which all children in the school will know that they are welcome and will feel treasured.
