What are the Georgia Standards of Excellence?
The Georgia Standards of Excellence make up the framework for your child's education. Each subject taught in school is supported by specific standards that need to be met each year to prepare your child for college or the workplace. The Georgia Board of Education has created a website for parents and teachers to provide information that will support and enhance the teaching and learning of the Georgia Standards. It allows parents easy access to information regarding the state's academic standard
Student Assessments
How are the students tested?
At Tiger Creek, our students are assessed several times a year to ensure they are learning the state adopted standards and to help improve teaching and learning. Results from the various assessments are used to identify those students who are not mastering the standards and to provide teachers with feedback about instruction. The information gathered from these tests help our school identify our strengths and our weaknesses so that we can establish priorities and goals in planning our educational programs.
