“The time is always right to do what is right.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
🐯 There is SO much to celebrate at Tiger Creek! 🐯
As we get closer to the end of our first nine weeks, I have to say how incredibly proud I am of our Tigers and our staff! We have been working hard, growing, learning, and—most importantly—showing what it means to be a Tiger.
We received a huge reward last week by being named a Title I Reward School! This is an incredible accomplishment and a true reflection of the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families. I am so proud to be a Tiger!
And if you’ve walked by my office lately, you may have noticed something… my desk is absolutely overflowing with Positive Office Referrals! 🎉 I LOVE seeing students recognized for making great choices and living out our PBIS expectations:
💙 Be Ready
💛 Be Respectful
💙 Be Safe
We are displaying our Positive Office Referrals in the hallway so that students can celebrate their friends and classmates, too! Be sure to ask your child to show you the Tigerriffic Cheer at home. We love celebrating our Tigers, and they deserve to know when we notice all the great things they are doing!
💦🐯 Our Second Surprise Attendance Day Was a HUGE Hit! 🐯💦
Our second Surprise Attendance Day was a huge hit—literally! 😂 Every student who was at school that day had the opportunity to “Soak the Principal” with water balloons, and our Tigers definitely took advantage of it!
Thank you for helping make every school day count by getting your students to school each and every day. We are so excited to share that our September 2026 attendance rate is the highest percentage we have seen in several years! 🎉
Improving attendance is one of our important school improvement goals, so we truly appreciate your partnership in helping us reach this goal. More importantly, when our students are at school, they have more opportunities to learn, grow, build relationships, and make the most of every day we have together.
🏃♀️🐯 TIGER TROT IS COMING! 🐯🏃♂️
Our Tiger Trot is October 9th, and the excitement is building! Each day leading up to our fun run, we will be celebrating a different character trait and talking about what it looks like to put

Happy October Tiger Creek families!
The cooler weather is on the way (finally!) and we are excited to enjoy all that this month will bring! As we continue to settle into the school year, I want to take a moment to thank our students, families, and staff for continuing to make Tiger Creek such a special place to learn and grow.
A quick reminder that Attendance Matters! Every day is an opportunity to learn, connect with others, and build important skills. We have already had an amazing start to our attendance celebrations with our first two surprise attendance days. In August every student at school received a popsicle and in September we all had fun throwing water balloons at Mrs. Dills. We have another special surprise day in October so make sure you are here so you won't miss out! Thank you families for helping make regular attendance a priority.
As we move through the month, let's remember to model our Tiger Creek expectations: Be Ready, Be Respectful, and Be Safe, and together, we can make our school Tigerrific!
Go Tigers!

TCE has 3 big Title 1 items that are sent out with a sign-in/evaluation for families to complete (The Annual Meeting, the Fall Parent Survey, and the Spring Parent Survey). You did the Fall Parent Survey a few weeks ago. I have compiled that information and am looking it over to see what suggestions that we can implement this school year. If you had questions or requests, I or our admins will be sending you a response in the next week.
The Title 1 Annual Meeting is now ready and has been sent out by Parent Square. It has also been added to the website. This meeting is held every year in the first 9 weeks of school. TCE does an online presentation to reach as many families as possible. In this presentation you will learn all about our Title 1 Program and all the different components. Throughout the presentation you will have links (button tabs) that you can click to get more detail information.
TCE is required to document that we sent this out to our families and to also document the number of families that sign-in and completes the evaluation. The evaluation is only 2 required short questions and 1 optional question. I will give your student(s) a treat once you have filled it out. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help our school. It in turn helps us to help our students.
Please click the image below or scan the QR Code to view the presentation and complete the Sign-In & very short Evaluation:

Flu season is here! Please help keep our students and staff healthy by encouraging children to wash their hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth, and get plenty of rest. If your child is feeling sick, please keep them home until they are feeling better and fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medicine.

October Safety
October brings cooler weather, school activities, fall events, and Halloween fun—but it’s also a great time to refocus on safety, awareness, and good choices.
Watch for pedestrians: As daylight gets shorter, slow down in school zones, parking lots, and neighborhoods. Students walking or riding bikes should stay alert and use crosswalks.
Halloween Safety: Wear costumes that allow you to see and move safely. Use flashlights or reflective items when walking after dark, stay with trusted adults or groups, and only visit homes you know.
Make good choices: One poor decision can have consequences that last far beyond the moment. Take a second, think about the outcome, and choose the safe path.
As your SRO, my goal is not only to keep our schools safe, but to help create an environment where every student feels seen, heard, respected, and protected.
Have a safe, responsible, and positive October!
— Officer Holli
Holli Fields #554
