Last week, The Creek finished up the Canned Food Drive on Friday and Mrs. Pickens' 2nd grade class donated the most with a whopping 654 items.
Friday was a scheduled half day. Before early dismissal we held Career Day for grades K-5th. Grades K-2nd had 6 different guest speakers discussing and demonstrating their professions and vehicles. They got to hear from Catoosa County Fire Department, Ringgold Telephone, local farmer Wilborn Dycus who brought his tractor, SRO Holli Fields, Critter Sitters, & Mbellish hair salon.
The 3rd-5th grades had 9 different guest speakers. They got to meet and hear from Huntington Bank, Primary Health Care, A+E Salon, Puckett EMTs, Catoosa County SWAT Team, Catoosa County Parks & Recreation, Gaby Bowen from Social Services, Catoosa Utility District, and several different program students & instructors from the CCPS College & Career Academy. We want to give a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all the guest speakers! They did a wonderful job with our students and the students enjoyed learning about different careers.
This week we will have Bus Safety discussions & demonstrations during Connection classes on Tuesday and then on Thursday, September 24th we will have the Kindergarten Lunch & Learn.
